- 3 Cups Chocolate Cheerios
- 3 Cups Banana Nut Cheerios
- 1 Cup Chopped Walnuts
- 1 Bag of Miniature Marshmallows
- 1/2 Bag of Wilton White Chocolate Melts
- A few drops of Caramel Flavoring
- 3 Tbsp of Butter
Extra Supplies that generally are not in the kitchen at all times:
- Piping bags for drizzling
- Fondant smoother tool*optional, I use to press down the bars without making hands a mess. Wonderful tool.*
Steps:
- Prepare ingredients.
- Add marshmallows and butter into a glass cooking bowl.
- cook in microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until marshmallows and butter are melted. Take out of microwave.
- Add all of the Cheerios in the bowl and nuts. Mix together until all is mixed in.
- Scoop on a cookie sheet pan.
- Take a fondant smoother to press the mixture together. Should make 2/3 of the pan. Let settle.
- I placed in freezer to settle quicker.
- When the bars have settled, cut them to your preference. I cut them into breakfast bars size for on the go. Add them on a pan. separate about 1/2 in apart. Set aside.
- *optional*To keep from sticking if you plan on stacking for a party on a platter, dip the bottom of the bar in powder sugar and lightly tap off.
- Melt 1/2 bag of melting chips in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds in a glass cereal bowl for about 2 minutes.
- add a few drops of caramel flavoring in the bowl and stir.
- if it stiffens, add a bit of hot water at a time until smooth again.
- Pour the chocolate in the piping bag. slightly cut the tip of the bag. Drizzle the bars how ever design you like.
- place in the freezer for 6 minutes or until the chocolate hardens.
- Enjoy! Let me know how it works..<3
