Chocolate Strawberry Bars

Ingredients:
  • 6 Cups of chocolate cheerios or cocoa krispies
  • 1 Bag of strawberry flavored marshmallows
  • 2 Drops of pink coloring (optional)
  • 1/2 Bag of Wilton white chocolate melts
  • 3 Tbspn of butter
Extra items you might want to use that I find useful but are not obligated:
  • Fondant smoother (for pressing the bars together)
  • piping bags (for drizzling)

Steps:
  1. Prepare your six cups of cereal. set aside.
  2. Have a cookie sheet pan ready on your baking table.
  3. Melt butter and marshmallows in a glass bowl in the microwave. Stir every 30 seconds until completely melted.
  4. Bring bowl back to baking table. Add cereal to the bowl. Mix together.
    1. If you like to have more pink, add a drop of pink dye into the bowl and stir. Just a drop or two or your marshmallows will be very sticky when pressing together. Scoop onto the pan. Press together.
    2. You may add sprinkles at this point to add more creativity. Let it settle in the fridge for about a half hour. Or place in the freezer for about five minutes then place in fridge.
  5. Cut apart to your preference and keep them apart from each other on the pan about 1/2 inch. Set aside.
    1. If it is going to be for a platter, I will lightly dab the bar with powder sugar so it prevents sticking.
  6. Melt chocolate in a glass cereal bowl. Stir every 30 seconds until completely melted. Average 2 minutes.
    1. Have a piping bag ready to add chocolate into. Pour the chocolate into the bag. cut a sliver off the bag and begin to drizzle.
    2. If you do not want to use a piping bag, you may use a spoon or sandwich baggie.
    3. place in freezer for about five to eight minutes. Then Serve.
  7. Enjoy!
