- 6 Cups of chocolate cheerios or cocoa krispies
- 1 Bag of strawberry flavored marshmallows
- 2 Drops of pink coloring (optional)
- 1/2 Bag of Wilton white chocolate melts
- 3 Tbspn of butter
Extra items you might want to use that I find useful but are not obligated:
- Fondant smoother (for pressing the bars together)
- piping bags (for drizzling)
Steps:
- Prepare your six cups of cereal. set aside.
- Have a cookie sheet pan ready on your baking table.
- Melt butter and marshmallows in a glass bowl in the microwave. Stir every 30 seconds until completely melted.
- Bring bowl back to baking table. Add cereal to the bowl. Mix together.
- If you like to have more pink, add a drop of pink dye into the bowl and stir. Just a drop or two or your marshmallows will be very sticky when pressing together. Scoop onto the pan. Press together.
- You may add sprinkles at this point to add more creativity. Let it settle in the fridge for about a half hour. Or place in the freezer for about five minutes then place in fridge.
- Cut apart to your preference and keep them apart from each other on the pan about 1/2 inch. Set aside.
- If it is going to be for a platter, I will lightly dab the bar with powder sugar so it prevents sticking.
- Melt chocolate in a glass cereal bowl. Stir every 30 seconds until completely melted. Average 2 minutes.
- Have a piping bag ready to add chocolate into. Pour the chocolate into the bag. cut a sliver off the bag and begin to drizzle.
- If you do not want to use a piping bag, you may use a spoon or sandwich baggie.
- place in freezer for about five to eight minutes. Then Serve.
- Enjoy!
