Ingredients:
- frosting (I make homemade frosting)
- Homemade frosting:
- 1 baking stick (not buttered flavored just plain)
- 2 tbsp of butter.
- about 3 cups of powdered sugar (depends on how thin or thick you want your frosting to be)
- one packet of Duncan Hines Mint Chocolate flavoring.
- 1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips
- Dash of milk
- Steps:
- Blend at medium, gradually going to high speed to whip the baking stick and butter.
- Gradually add the powder sugar in.
- before you add more in, scrape the frosting to the center of the bowl again.
- always go slow to fast to make sure all is whipped together.
- if it gets too thick, add the milk in to make it creamy
- I always do three cups or less. I love it smooth, not where you add too much powder sugar and it's gritty tasting.
- Blend in the mint chocolate flavoring once you reach your texture of frosting
- Stir in your chocolate chips
- Chocolate cake mix
- Ice cream cones
Steps:
- Make your cake mix, turn oven on to preheat to desired temp.
- Place cones in a cupcake pan
- Fill cones to the line before it goes wide, if you do more over the line then your cupcake will cook over the cone.
- place in oven gently
- Once the cupcakes are done and cooled off.
- Have a piping bag ready filled with your frosting. Nothing special. Just the bag.
- I cut a decent end of the bag to get a bigger swirl on the frosting
- or instead of the frosting bag you may do the norm and spread it on
- Pipe the frosting from out to in. That's it.
- I placed mine in the freezer to freeze the frosting, so kids could lick the frosting off like a real ice cream cone.
